Accessibility Statement

Overview

X-ELRA aims to conform to the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.1 Level AA. We are committed to ensuring that all learners, including those using assistive technologies, can access and benefit from the platform.

This statement was last reviewed in March 2026.

What we currently support

Known limitations

• Some embedded lesson content (iframes) may not fully meet contrast requirements depending on the source material.
• Interactive code execution environments within lessons may have limited screen reader support.
• Third-party survey iframes (consent forms, periodic surveys) are outside our direct control and may have their own accessibility limitations.
• Chart visualisations in researcher-facing analytics views do not currently provide text alternatives.

Assistive technology tested

• NVDA (Windows) with Firefox and Chrome
• VoiceOver (macOS/iOS) with Safari
• Keyboard-only navigation across all major browsers
